Windows special folders are folders that are predefined by Windows, and include folders such as "My Documents" and "My Music". They can be inserted into the virtual folder hierarchy at any point, including the root.
They are added by selecting "Add root folder" (or "Add sub-folder") and choosing "Windows special folder".
A dialog box displays the types of special folders that are available.
It should be noted that only Windows users can access special folders. They have no meaning for non-Windows users, and an error is returned if a non-Windows user tries to change into a folder that is a Windows special folder.
